Chapter 22

Chapter 22 “EU Regional Policies” aims to develop policies that reduce socio-economic disparities between Member States and between regions within the same country, as well as to ensure socio-economic integration and cohesion. Within this chapter “Coordination of Structural Instruments” requires the creation of institutional and administrative structures, as well as the implementation of general and specific regulations related to each Structural Fund and the Cohesion Fund, which constitute the financial instruments of the EU for achieving the defined objectives of the policies in question.
