Is the Partnership Platform for European Integration PPIE?

Membership in the European Union is a national objective with an impact on the entire society. Civil society is a partner in the negotiation processes. The approximation of national legislation with that of the EU, the drafting of strategy documents and that final declaration and the Albanian negotiating group before the EU negotiators, requires the choice of choice and consultation with all stakeholders in society.

The round tables within the Partnership Platform for European Integration PPIE are communication and advisory efforts on the integration process between the Ministry of European Finance, the efforts to negotiate Chapter 22 “Regional Policies and Coordination of Structural Instruments”
The round tables are set up for each chapter. They concern members of civil society can all be active in the accession negotiation processes.

How does the PPIE work?

Based on the Prime Minister’s Order No. 113, dated 30.08.2019 “On the forms of participation, functioning and institutional structure of the Partnership Platform for European Integration”, consultation tables with interest groups are established for each chapter of the EU acquis.

The main purpose of each table is to discuss and take positions and recommendations addressed to the Secretariat for European Integration and other structures responsible for the integration process. The tables also perform an advisory function in relation to the programming, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of European Union assistance to Albania.

Through the PPIE, the aim is to inform, communicate and increasingly involve non-state actors in the process.

Who can apply?

The application is open to all civil society organizations, local government, business community, employee associations, representatives of academic circles, media and interest groups, referring to the definitions of chapter III, point 4 of Order No. 113 dated 30/08/2019 “On the organization and functioning of the Partnership Platform for European Integration”.

How to apply?

All stakeholders in society who have a special interest and can provide their expertise in the areas covered by chapter ‘22’, and can apply by submitting a letter of interest clearly stating which roundtable they are applying for and a CV of the person or group they represent, showing that they have sufficient expertise or interest to contribute to the chapter 22 roundtable.
