Order No. 6 dated 12.1.2024 for the establishment of the inter-institutional work group for the development of the capacities of local officials and elected officials

The mission of the Academy of Local Government is to be the main catalyst in the transformation of local government in Albania. Through the strengthening of human resource capacities, we aim to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of local self-government units by developing the skills of public servants and local elected officials.

The Academy will provide advanced training and continuous support, with the aim of creating a dedicated and capable administration to provide quality services to citizens, building a modern, transparent government oriented towards sustainable development.

In this context, with the initiative of the Minister of State for Local Government and the Order of the Prime Minister, the Inter-institutional Working Group has been established, which is leading the efforts to create the Academy as an institution dedicated to the training and development of public servants and local elected officials.

To support this vision, AMVV has set up the Training and Capacity Building Directorate. This directorate is responsible for the coordination and development of trainings at the local level, until the full establishment of the Academy.
