Following the latest meeting of the Council of Ministers, the Minister of State for Local Government, Mr. Ervin Demo, announced the further expansion of the “Mountain Package” through the approval of priority areas for four additional municipalities across the country. With this decision, the program now extends to 40 municipalities nationwide, reaching a total of 350 approved priority areas. These areas create concrete opportunities to stimulate investments, support the development of the rural economy, and revitalize local communities, particularly in mountainous regions. In his remarks, the Minister highlighted that interest in applications continues to grow steadily, both from local residents and from Albanians living abroad who are seeking to invest in their places of origin. This trend reflects growing confidence in this development instrument and its potential to generate new economic and social opportunities at the local level .
