The Minister of Interior, Mr. Ervin Demo, presented a new leadership team for Local Government Affairs. Deputy Minister of Interior Mr. Oltjon Muzaka will oversee local government matters, while Ms. Anxhela Paparizo will serve as the General Director of the Agency for Local Self-Government Support (AMVV).

Local government faces a new set of challenges and working standards: ongoing reforms and the significant demands associated with Chapter 22.

At the same time, programs such as the Mountain Areas Package and Urban Renaissance 2.0 must translate into tangible territorial development, creating opportunities for communities, rural areas, and cities alike.

Stronger coordination, leadership, and empowerment across the entire team are essential to achieving a clear goal: a local government that is more capable, modern, and closer to the citizen.
