Within the framework of the Open Dat’ALB project, a delegation from the French company SPALLIAN, led by CEO Renaud Prouveur and representatives responsible for strategic institutional cooperation, conducted an official visit to Albania from 9 to 11 March 2026. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen institutional collaboration and advance the process of data sharing and usage in support of evidence-based local governance.
The meetings were attended by the Minister of State for Local Government, Mr. Ervin Demo, representatives of the Agency for the Support of Local Self-Government (AMVV), the National Agency for Municipal Affairs (NAMA), the Commission for Territorial Administrative Reform, GIZ, INSTAT, as well as the Delegation of the European Union to Albania. The visit aimed to reinforce institutional cooperation, advance the framework for data sharing, and consolidate partnerships that support evidence-based local governance.
During the visit, the demonstration version of the Open Dat’ALB platform was presented. It includes interactive visualizations and analytical tools built on performance indicators and territorial data. The demo platform was used as a working instrument to discuss existing functionalities, gather concrete feedback from participating institutions, and identify next steps for its improvement and expansion. In this context, the work carried out so far on integrating the 2023–2024 Performance Measurement System indicators and on data exchange with relevant institutions was also presented.
The mission of the Open Dat’ALB project is to promote the use of open data to support territorial planning, performance analysis, and the development of public policies at the local level.
