In the framework of the Prime Minister’s order, no. 33 dated 18.2.2025 for the establishment of the Inter-institutional Working Group for the drafting of regulatory draft acts for Local State Companies, the first meeting of the Inter-institutional Working Group was held with the Minister of State for Local Government, Mr.Arbjan Mazniku, and representatives for the legal framework from the Agency for the Support of Local Self-Government.

This new legal framework aims to transform municipalities into engines of local development, integrated and efficient in the provision of public services. The goal is to ensure the highest standards of functioning, focusing on transparency, maximum accountability and respect for the principles of good governance.

Through this initiative, the aim is to strengthen the capacities of municipalities, promote active community participation, and build a local administration that operates according to the best European models, serving the needs and expectations of citizens.
