At the meeting between Mr. Arbjan Mazniku, Minister of State for Local Government and EU partners, on the next steps towards European Integration through progress in regional policies and coordination of structural instruments, as part of Chapter 22.

In this regard, a clear and structured approach is being implemented, harmonizing regional development policies with EU standards and objectives. These steps include strengthening institutional capacities, increasing public investments at the regional level and improving planning and monitoring mechanisms.

Through the National Regional Development Strategy, economic development is being promoted in all regions of the country, creating more opportunities for citizens and aiming to reduce territorial inequalities.

This strategy, built according to European standards, aims to improve infrastructure, increase regional competitiveness and accelerate the pace of Albania’s rapprochement with the European Union. Through these policies and concrete actions, Albania is showing full commitment to European Integration and sustainable development.
