The Minister of State for Local Government, Mr. Arbjan Mazniku, together with the mayors, participated in the meeting to discuss the continuation of the work on the implementation of the Mountain Package project, an important initiative that aims to promote sustainable economic and tourist development in the most remote and mountainous areas of the country. This package aims to strengthen local units through direct support for investments that improve the economic and social life of residents.

The selection of areas that meet the conditions to benefit from this initiative was also discussed. Investment priorities were also analyzed, as well as the need for close inter-institutional cooperation, in order to guarantee the efficient implementation of projects on the ground.

This approach aims to create a rural development model that not only stops the depopulation of mountain areas, but also turns them into sustainable spaces for housing, employment and tourism.
