The Minister of State for Local Government, Mr. Ervin Demo, hosted a meeting with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Albania, Mr. Anar Huseynov, where discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and preparations for Albania’s participation in the World Urban Forum (WUF13), to be held in Baku. During the meeting, the importance of this forum was highlighted as an international platform for exchanging experiences and promoting sustainable policies in the field of urban development. Albania’s participation in WUF13 is considered an important opportunity to strengthen the role of local government and increase the country’s contribution to addressing global challenges related to housing, urban planning, and the development of more sustainable cities.
The meeting also served to reaffirm the commitment to expanding cooperation between the two countries in areas of mutual interest, supporting sustainable development and strengthening local governance .
