During the “Pro-Tax” event, held in the presence of the Ambassador of Sweden, Mr. Niklas Ström, the Minister of State for Local Government, Mr. Ervin Demo, and the Minister of Finance, Mr. Petrit Malaj, the reform of the property tax and fiscal cadastre was discussed, a process supported by Swedish partners.

At this event, the importance of strengthening the financial capacities of local governments was emphasized. It was underlined that the true autonomy of municipalities becomes feasible only when they have stable revenues, which enable them to transform projects into concrete works.

This reform aims precisely at this objective: to empower municipalities to invest in infrastructure and quality services, which directly affect the lives of citizens and comply with EU standards.
