Works on the construction site of the Elbasan-Qafë Thane road, part of Corridor VIII, continue at a fast pace and have advanced significantly during the last period. This important project for the development of the country’s infrastructure aims to improve the connection between the city of Elbasan and the border point of Qafë Thana, contributing to increasing the degree of integration of Albania with the region and beyond.

To realize this project, intensive work is being done on the construction and renovation of the road segments and the arrangement of the accompanying infrastructure, which includes drainage, signage and road safety. Special attention is paid to the use of modern materials and technologies, which will guarantee a safe and high-capacity road for the circulation of vehicles. According to the data from the responsible bodies, considerable progress has been achieved, and the works are expected to be completed on schedule, enabling a safer and more efficient route for citizens and international transport.
