Climate change is increasing the risk of wildfires every year, making forest protection and community safety a national priority. In this context, the Ministry of Local Government, through the Academy of Local Governance, is conducting specialized training programs for local administration with the aim of strengthening knowledge and practical skills for the prevention and effective management of fires.Through these trainings, the preventive and intervention capacities of local structures are being enhanced, ensuring faster and more efficient responses in emergency situations. At the same time, efforts are being made to raise citizens’ awareness, as the protection of forests and the environment begins within the community itself.The Minister emphasized that cooperation between the central government, local authorities, and citizens is the key to building a safer, greener, and more sustainable Albania.
