The first meeting of this year was held with the presence of the Prime Minister, the Minister of Local Government and the mayors of the municipalities. During this activity, the partnership approach between the central government and the municipalities was reiterated, emphasizing the role of municipalities as an engine of economic and social development, as well as key actors in the development of 12-month tourism and in strengthening services for citizens in the territory.

It was emphasized that development should touch every corner of the country, from rural to mountainous areas. In this context, the Mountain Package was assessed as an important instrument that aims to return investments and natural potential in the local economy. Municipalities were identified as key factors in the implementation of this process and in guaranteeing sustainable development throughout the territory.
