The decentralization of key functions in the fields of education, health and agriculture is an important step towards improving services for citizens. In this context, municipalities have taken a more active role, including:

– Education and Health: Expanded responsibilities in appointing educational and medical staff and ensuring that decision-making processes are closer to the needs of the community.

– Agriculture: The advisory role for several agricultural functions aims to accelerate and improve the coordination and effectiveness of services to farmers.

This 1-year pilot project is an experimental step within the framework of the government’s decentralization policy, with the aim of assessing the efficiency and quality of the services provided. Based on the results, decisions will be made to expand local competencies, giving local governments more autonomy to fulfill their tasks.
