As part of the Open Dat’Alb project, the Albanian delegation—comprising representatives of the Agency for the Support of Local Self-Government (AMVV), mayors, and representatives of the pilot municipalities—conducted an official study visit to France from 7–11 June 2026. The visit aimed to strengthen institutional cooperation between Albania and France in the fields of open data and local governance. During meetings with representatives of French institutions, local authorities, and the technical partner Spallian, participants presented the progress of the Open Dat’Alb project, discussed best practices in digital transformation and the use of data for evidence-based decision-making, and explored new opportunities for cooperation and partnerships between Albanian and French municipalities. The programme also included visits to French municipalities and institutions—including Chambéry, Aix-les-Bains, Arras, and Fontainebleau—where the delegation gained insights into successful models of local governance, territorial management, and the use of technology in the delivery of public services.
