The Minister of State for Local Government, Mr. Ervin Demo, announced that during the latest meeting of the Council of Ministers, 9 new decisions were approved under the “Mountains Package,” bringing the total number of municipalities with designated priority development areas for the mountain economy to 25. According to the Minister, a total of 205 priority areas have been approved across the country, marking a concrete step towards guiding investments, promoting economic development, and increasing opportunities for local communities. In this context, the municipalities of Vlorë, Kavajë, Durrës, Dimal, Mirditë, Berat, Himarë, Librazhd, and Rrogozhinë have joined this development map, which aims to transform the potential of mountainous areas into a real driver of the local economy. This development serves to strengthen support for mountainous areas and create new opportunities for sustainable development at the local level.
