The Minister of State for Local Government, Mr. Ervin Demo, participated in the “Reform Agenda & Reform and Growth Facility (RGF)” Conference, organized by CDI.

During the conference, the key role of local government in preparing Albania for the new phase of European integration, as well as performance-based financing instruments, were discussed.

The year 2026 will be a decisive moment for municipalities. Territorial reform, performance-based financing and the European integration process must proceed in a coordinated manner, with the aim of building stronger, more financially sustainable and better prepared municipalities to absorb future European Union funds.
