On 23 July 2025, in the wake of Albania’s steady progress in the European integration process, the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the Member States of the European Union (COREPER) invited the Danish Presidency to invite Albania to present its Negotiating Position for Chapter 5: “Resources, Agriculture and Cohesion”.

This decision represents another important step on the path of accession negotiations and demonstrates Albania’s unwavering will to move forward towards the European Union.
